Manu's Cafe And Restaurant

Manu makes the best chai latte I’ve ever had, hands down! I can bet my bottom dollar on it. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and just so comforting. Honestly, once you’ve tried it here, every other chai will feel second best.

So happy to come across this gem when visiting St Kilda on Christmas Day. We both really enjoyed our brunch. It was packed but the kitchen turned out the food within reasonable time. Friendly people and delicious food. Strongly recommended.

I’ve been to Manus a couple of times - the first to eat a Sri Lankan style brunch and the second to try the corn fritters with eggs and Avocado. All the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Sri Lankan food selection too.

I visited this restaurant based on the high reviews, and I must say they are very deserving. The curry was absolutely delicious, and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would eat there again any time! Oh, and try the beetroot latte for something different, it's very nice!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Manu Kitchen Restaurant, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience! The food was outstanding, and I even got to chat with the chef, who was both professional and super friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant really adds to the whole experience, and being so close to St. Kilda Beach makes it even better! I ordered the string hoppers kottu, which was packed with flavor, and the gravy that came with it was simply delicious. Plus, the chef kindly offered us complimentary coffee, which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend checking out this place if you're looking for a fantastic mix of Sri Lankan and Australian dishes. You won’t be disappointed!

First visit to Manu’s Restaurant – and I’m beyond impressed! Today I had the pleasure of trying Manus for the first time, and honestly, the food took me straight back to Sri Lanka. Every bite was packed with authentic Sri Lankan flavours, from the perfectly spiced dhal to the vibrant beetroot curry and the unforgettable chicken curry with rice. The star of the show for me was definitely the Godamba Roti – soft, flaky, and just like what you’d find back home. It was top-notch! I also had the chance to chat with Manu himself, and it was clear he’s not just a chef he’s an artist with food. With experience gathered from all over the world, he brings a depth of flavour and creativity that truly sets this place apart. The vibe at the restaurant is warm, clean, and inviting the kind of place you want to sit down and stay a while. Highly recommend to anyone looking for genuine Sri Lankan cuisine with a touch of global brilliance. I’ll definitely be back!

Incredibly kind staff, and excellent coffee to boot! I was a regular at Manu's during my week-long stay in St Kilda. While there are other excellent cafes in the area worth exploring, I was happiest with their coffee pricing, portions, and of course, taste! They remembered my order and even gave me a free piece of shortbread on my last visit as a thank-you! Overall, excellent food and service from some truly good people. If I find myself in St Kilda in the future I'll absolutely stop in again!
